Cookie Policy

The specific cookies this site can set, what each is for, and the consent gate that keeps the non-essential ones switched off until you agree.

This isn’t the “we value your privacy” theatre. The site runs Google Consent Mode v2 in a deny-by-default state: before you choose, nothing storage-based fires and no tracking identifiers are set. You can change your mind any time — .

01What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) do comparable jobs. Some are essential for a site to function; most are optional and exist to measure or advertise.

02My approach: consent first

I use a prior-consent model. When you first arrive, non-essential categories are set to denied and no analytics or marketing tags can write cookies or identifiers. They switch on only for the categories you allow, and switch back off if you withdraw.

  • Necessary — always on. Security and remembering your consent choice. No tracking.
  • Preferences — optional comfort features that remember settings.
  • Statistics — Google Analytics 4, off until you allow it.
  • Marketing — advertising / remarketing, off until you allow it.

03The cookies themselves

Exact Google cookie names and lifetimes can vary as those tools update; the categories and the consent gate above are what always hold.

04Consent Mode, honestly explained

The site uses Google’s Consent Mode in its advanced form. Before consent, Google tags don’t set cookies or store identifiers — at most they may send cookieless, anonymous pings that carry no personal data. After you allow Statistics or Marketing, the relevant tags switch to their full behaviour. This gives honest measurement without tracking anyone who hasn’t agreed.

05Changing or withdrawing consent

You’re never locked in:

  • Reopen the consent panel here: .
  • Or clear the hdd_consent cookie in your browser to be asked again.
  • Your browser settings can also block or delete cookies entirely, at the cost of some convenience.

06Questions & changes

This policy will change as the tools do — the “last updated” date above tracks that. For anything cookie-related, email email@hunor.digital, or see the Privacy Policy.
